I write character-driven literary fiction from Greece. My debut novel, Take Me Home, is on its way.
Mikaela Stamataki is an indie author based in Greece. She writes character-driven literary fiction that explores memory, identity, grief, belonging, and the extraordinary weight of ordinary moments.
Before becoming an author, she spent almost a decade working in hospitality aboard cruise ships, where she met people from every corner of the world and became fascinated by the quiet stories they carried: the moments of love, loss, hope and resilience that often remained unspoken.
Her stories are drawn to the spaces between people: the conversations left unfinished, the rituals that quietly hold families together, and the ways love continues to shape us long after somebody is gone.
Take Me Home is her debut novel. She is currently writing Honey, You’re Familiar and Letters from Kiko.
